A Seventeenth Centry Illustration

Despite centuries of hopeful inventors the
laws of thermodynamics have held. But now,
several groups scientist think that quantum
mechanics may allow violations of the second
law to occur in small scale systems releasing
tiny amounts of energy.

This article begins with a review of the laws
of thermodynamics and maxwell's demon,
explores three proposed systems, and ends
with objections raised by other scientist.

The Aqua Motion Machine

The aqua - motion resembles buoyant perpetual
motion machines of the past hundred years,
years, but the operation relies on a different
false premise - air expelled into water at any
depth requires the same amount of work - and
bad measurements. Because the divers breath
in air with the same pressure as the water pressure
at their depth, they need only exert a small force
breathing out air; likewise the graph of water
pressure with depth in a column should have
been linear. Feel the nostalgia.

Image Of A Wind Powered Machine

A short article detailing the irresistibility
of perpetual motion machines and the
mechanical impossibility of breaking
laws of thermodynamics. Plus, a brief
history of the field from the depths of
the sixteenth century water-wheel design
to the twentieth century attempts such
as zero point energy and shrinking atoms.

The Tripole Methode

Ignore the personal theories and go for the
wonderful gigantic image files at the bottom
of the page. Notice, on the down side gravity
does a fine job of pulling against the magnets,
but on the up side gravity gets a little lazy.

Future performance in the fields of cold fusion,
free energy, perpetual motion, and zero point
energy will very much reflect past performance.
If you're looking for a place to invest your money,
try the government, as it grows boom time or bust.
However, if money does not buy either love or
happiness, I'll probably get different results.

The author makes no claims that any of the devices
described on this web page will work or produce
anything other than frustration. If you build said
devices and get more energy out than you put in,
then it's your own damn fault.
